ICDL AI ESSENTIALS (Professional Course)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The ICDL AI Essentials module equips learners with essential knowledge and practical skills to understand Artificial Intelligence (AI) and use generative AI tools safely, responsibly, and effectively. Participants will explore key AI concepts, including machine learning, neural networks, generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI agents, while examining practical applications of AI across education, business, healthcare, creative industries, and everyday life.

The programme also focuses on critical topics such as AI risks, data privacy, cybersecurity, misinformation, bias, ethical considerations, and the societal and environmental impacts of AI. Learners will gain hands-on experience in writing effective prompts and using AI tools to generate and refine text, images, audio, video, and code outputs.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion of the programme, learners are awarded the ICDL Certificate of Completion in AI Essentials, an internationally recognised qualification that validates foundational knowledge and practical skills in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI.

The certification demonstrates competence in understanding AI concepts, recognising practical AI applications, evaluating AI-generated content critically, using generative AI responsibly, and applying effective prompt-writing techniques.
