Speak Up With Confidence - Whistleblowing
Lindnet Institute of Technology is committed to conducting its operations with integrity, accountability, transparency, and professionalism. The institution seeks to maintain a safe and ethical learning and working environment for students, staff, partners, and the wider community.
While the institution strives to uphold the highest standards in all activities and operations, we recognise that concerns relating to misconduct, malpractice, or unethical behaviour may arise. Maintaining a culture of openness and responsibility is essential in identifying and addressing such matters appropriately.
This Whistleblowing platform provides a mechanism for the public, LIT staff and students to report in confidence on actual or suspected wrongful practices, misconduct or unethical behaviours by LIT staff.
Purpose of Whistleblowing
The purpose of whistleblowing is to:
- Encourage individuals to raise genuine concerns as early as possible;
- Provide a clear and confidential reporting process;
- Ensure concerns are handled fairly and investigated appropriately;
- Promote a culture of honesty, accountability, and responsible conduct;
- Provide reassurance that concerns raised in good faith will be taken seriously.
Reportable Concerns
The whistleblowing process may be used to report matters including, but not limited to:
- Fraud, corruption, or misuse of institutional funds and resources;
- Academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or examination malpractice;
- Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or inappropriate conduct;
- Abuse of authority or unethical practices;
- Failure to comply with institutional policies or legal obligations;
- Acts that may endanger the health, safety, or wellbeing of individuals;
- Deliberate concealment of information relating to wrongdoing.
Confidentiality and Protection
All reports submitted through the whistleblowing system will be treated with strict confidentiality and managed with professionalism. Every reasonable effort will be made to protect the identity of individuals making disclosures, subject to applicable legal and procedural requirements.
Anonymous reports may also be submitted. However, we strongly encourage whistleblowers to provide their names and contact information to facilitate clarification (where necessary) for more effective and expeditious investigation of the complaint.
The institution will not tolerate victimisation, retaliation, intimidation, or unfair treatment against any individual who raises a genuine concern in good faith.
Submission of Reports
Individuals who have reasonable grounds to believe that misconduct, malpractice, or unethical behaviour has occurred, is occurring, or may occur are encouraged to submit a report through the Whistleblowing Form on this page.
Lindnet Institute of Technology remains committed to fostering a culture of integrity, responsibility, and accountability.
