Cisco Ethical Hacking (Professional Course)

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Ethical Hacking course is designed to develop foundational offensive cybersecurity skills required to identify, analyse, and mitigate security vulnerabilities in modern digital systems. As cyber threats continue to increase in complexity, ethical hacking plays a critical role in strengthening the security of networks, applications, and organisational infrastructure.
The course introduces learners to the mindset, tools, and techniques used by attackers in order to proactively detect weaknesses before they can be exploited. Learners gain hands-on experience in penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability assessment, and security analysis within controlled and ethical lab environments.
Through interactive, scenario-based learning and practical simulations, learners develop skills in reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation, and post-exploitation analysis. The course also covers cloud, mobile, IoT, and application security, while emphasising professional ethics, responsible disclosure, and accurate security reporting.
By the end of the programme, learners are prepared to support entry-level offensive security roles or progress into advanced cybersecurity specialisations. The course also provides preparation for Cisco ethical hacking certification pathways and includes practical Capture The Flag (CTF) exercises.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the programme, learners are awarded the Cisco Certificate of Completion in Ethical Hacking, an industry-recognised credential that validates foundational offensive cybersecurity and penetration testing skills.
The certification demonstrates competence in key ethical hacking areas including vulnerability assessment, information gathering, network and application exploitation, post-exploitation techniques, and security reporting. It also confirms practical ability to use ethical hacking tools within controlled environments.
This qualification enhances employability in cybersecurity roles such as penetration testing, security analysis, SOC operations, and IT security support. It serves as a strong foundation for further studies and professional advancement in offensive cybersecurity and ethical hacking specialisations
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Explain the principles and scope of ethical hacking and penetration testing
- Plan and scope a penetration testing engagement
- Perform information gathering and vulnerability scanning
- Identify and analyse social engineering attack techniques
- Exploit wired and wireless network vulnerabilities in controlled environments
- Assess application, cloud, mobile, and IoT security risks
- Perform post-exploitation analysis and techniques
- Document and report security findings professionally
- Use ethical hacking tools for vulnerability assessment and analysis
- Apply cybersecurity best practices to mitigate identified threats
